Our Christmas Village 2001

We have over 30 different buildings for our village display. It got way out of hand so now we choose our 12 favorite and put them up under the tree. This one is the PET SHOP! There's a little dog and cat inside the window. It's our favorite building.

This is Scrooge's Pub and yes that's the name printed on the building and yes that little guy in the front is a figurine of Scrooge. The other man is hauling a barrel of brew. You can see part of the farm on the left hand side.

Every village needs a church. What makes this display so special is that the figurines were my grandmothers and were part of her village. They are made of lead and were purchased when my mom was a little girl. They are now antiques.

The ice skaters and the little old man and lady were also my grandmothers and are made out of lead. These pieces are our most cherished Christmas collectibles. All of our other village people are made from a bisque ceramic.

Last but not least, the infamous, growling Shelly. She's just staring at the Christmas village, holding on tightly to her new toy.

Merry Christmas Friends and Happy New Year!
